Founded in 1934, the Igualatorio Quirúrgico y de Especialidades was the first private healthcare system in Spain and the origin of the current IMQ, the oldest private health insurer in Spain. It is based in Bilbao and is dedicated to the commercialisation of private healthcare and health insurance.
